According to the Mobic web site, patients have experienced serious gastrointestinal toxicity, including bleeding, ulcers, inflammation, and perforation of the stomach and intestines.

This condition "may result in hospitalization and even fatal outcomes."

Another potential issue is severe hepatic (liver) reactions as well as serious renal problems, and as such those with liver or kidney problems are warned not to use Mobic.

Some of the other possible Mobic side effects include cardiac failure, allergic reactions, fatigue, fever, depression, abnormal vision and convulsions, among others.

Although it has not of yet been linked to increased heart attacks and strokes like Vioxx and some of the other NSAIDs, known Mobic drug side effects are severe enough to warrant extreme caution.
